Dan was recommended by a friend, when we were looking for someone to repair cracked treads on our Victorian staircase. Despite the difficult space in which to work underneath, he did a fabulous job, and the stairs now feel sturdy again. He insisted on cleaning thoroughly when finished, and despite my fears was reassuring and worked a full day to complete the task. He's clearly hardworking, conscientious and skilled, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. I've already asked him to do more work for me!

We recently had Dan carry out some detailed carpentry work around our newly installed sash windows in our Victorian home. The job turned out to be quite challenging, as old properties often come with their quirks — uneven walls and misaligned frames made the work much trickier than expected. Despite these complications, Dan remained calm, professional, and true to his word throughout. He took the time to ensure everything was perfectly aligned and finished to a very high standard. His attention to detail and skill really show in the final result — the window surrounds look absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Dan came to lay new laminate flooring in my hall. He did an excellent job, managing to put the laminate under the skirting without having to remove it. Also had to trim 4 doors and make 2 door trims. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. His quote was reasonable and his work was excellent. I would highly recommend and would definitely use again.

After finding Dan’s account online, I asked him to come and fit 3 of my upstairs doors. He responded quickly, gave a good quote and was able to book me in soon after. He did an excellent job, was very thorough and tidied up everything when finished. I was also doing some DIY when he was there and he helped me out massively. Thanks Dan! I was really happy with the job and have asked him for a quote for some other projects so hopefully I will have some more photos and high praises to add to this review. Edit: After a great job on the doors we hired Dan for a few other projects. A door for the under stairs area and this space over the stairs which was in quite a mess before. We couldn't be happier with both. As before his work is to a very high standard he came up with some great solutions to make it better than we had imagined. Photos included of the before and after.

Dainius replaced all my doors for me and also put up some coving. He did a great job considering my walls are not straight and my door frames were wonky! Really made my flat look more polished

I can only echo and confirm what the other reviewers have said. Dan is an excellent carpenter, and I have never been more satisfied with any tradesperson! I know it is a minor alteration, but I wanted an extra door to access the space under the stairs - to accommodate the tumble dryer! After reading the positive reviews, I contacted Dan who was brilliant from start to finish. In the first place, he came around very promptly, acertained what I wanted and came up with ideas - far superior to anything I had envisaged myself! Dan proceeded to measure up, explain the best side to have hinges etc. He even said that he would fit a 'touch open/close' catch so that there would be no visible handles. I had not thought of that and would have been perfectly happy to have had a knob or handle of some sort! The following day, Dan came round to do the job and the end result could not have been better. It was obvious from the start that he knew what he was doing. Even though he was working with wood which was more than a hundred years old, he cut the section perfectly and turned it into a functional door so that the match was perfect! You will see from the attached pictures, that there is very little to see - which is the very point. The section of panel was cut out, strengthened, and fits exactly as it did before. There is very little gap and no handle! It is also worth pointing out that Dan was as particular about clearinng up as he was about all other aspects of the job. When when he left, the area under my stairs was cleaner than when he arrived! It goes without saying that Dan's details have now been saved and he will be my first port of call if I ever need a carpenter.

Dan installed for us a new skirting board under the bay window. He came on time, was professional and polite. He worked fast and cleaned everything thoroughly after he finished. Some parts of the curved wall were tricky but he found innovative ways to deal with this and delivered good results. Would definitely recommend.

Dan built a waredrobe over the stairs in the nursery room, it was a tricky job but Dan has done it to a really high standard and we are so pleased. We are very pleased with the work carried out by Dainius to make our Edwardian stairs secure and sturdy. He was courteous, punctual and explained in detail what needed to be done. After all was finished, he made sure any mess was cleared up which was a bonus!

I would highly recommend Dan to anyone needing carpentry work done. Dan fitted and rehung several doors for us, built a bespoke set of shelves in a bathroom and fitted panelling in a bedroom. All the work was completed to a very high standard and in a timely manner. Dan was very helpful in suggesting ideas to improve on what we wanted whilst also taking onboard are requests. I would not hesitate in using Dan again in the future.

Dan installed nine alcove shelves across two rooms and replaced a few metres of skirting. Very pleased with the quality of work. Dan took on a really difficult job of fixing a previous workman's problems and did a great job of getting it right again! We had been let down by a couple of builders doing a refurbishment of our dining room. The last one had fitted a solid wooden floor and then didn't come back to do the skirting. Over the 4 months waiting for him it became obvious rhe floor had been poorly fitted. Dan fixed all this and then fitted the skirting. Worked really hard to get it all done as efficiently as possible.

Dainius, helped build a bespoke large understairs wardrobe, a bespoke pull-out wardrobe in a master bedroom and 3 fitted IKEA wardrobes. I really enjoyed working with Dainius, he is a very nice individual with excellent craftsmanship and completes his job to the best of his ability. There were a few complications with the bespoke large understairs wardrobe due to the sheer size of the units and with the runner being able to hold the full load. Dainius is a very good problem solver but also listens to any input you may have on the issue. In the end Dainius ordered a few heavy duty runners able to hold 100kg and I ordered some pull out hangers which solved the problems. As he was doing such a good job with the bespoke wardrobes, I asked him to help build fitted IKEA wardrobes. With the IKEA wardrobes, Dainius had absolutely no issues with these, I simply let him get on with the 3 wardrobes which he completed with ease making them fitted to the ceiling/floor and walls cutting the plinth and adding in fills where necessary. Overall, I am very happy with the work Dainius has done and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to do any carpentry works in their home. Thank you Dainius for your help.

Amazing work from Dan. He did an excellent job installation the laminate floor and skirting board. Our previous builder had somehow installed large door frames which we couldn't get average doors for. Dan managed to get large doors for commercial use and cut it down to fit the door frames. Amazing results. I would definitely recommend Dan and use his services again.

We recently moved into a home with an old fashioned serving hatch between the kitchen and dining room which had horrible clear plastic in place. I contacted D.A.Greenwood Carpentry who came over very quickly and gave a quote for the work we wanted done. New tracks and wooden sliding doors were installed and it looks so much better than before. Dan was very prompt with getting us booked in soon which is very rare at the moment as a lot of workmen are hard to even get round for a quote, never mind do the job. The job was done in a day and he was very polite, efficient and cleaned up. Would 100% recommend and will be using again next time we need a big job done!
